Reminders for guests: when they go out and how to change them
Lome sends each guest one automatic reminder before the date they signed up for.
Turn reminders on and choose the timing
- Open your sign-up and click Edit.
- Click Settings.
- Under Notifications, find Reminders.
- Turn it on and choose how many days before the event the reminder is sent (for example, 3 days before).
- Save.
Reminders require a date on the event. If your event has no date, the Reminders option does not appear.
Who receives it, and how
- Everyone who signed up with an email address gets an email.
- Guests who signed up with only a phone number get a text message, on plans that include text messaging.
- Guests who gave both get an email unless they set a text preference in their own Lome contact settings.
Multi-date sign-ups
For a sign-up with several dates, the reminder goes out before each date a guest signed up for, using the same number of days you chose.
Can I send a second reminder?
Not automatically — there is one scheduled reminder per sign-up. To nudge people again (for example, the day before), send a message from the sign-up: open it, click Edit → Results, then Send a Message, and write to everyone who signed up. Many hosts use one automatic reminder a few days out plus a manual message the day before.
A guest says they did not get a reminder
Check, in this order:
- Reminders is on in Settings → Notifications, and the number of days is set.
- The guest signed up before the reminder time. Someone who signs up 2 days before an event with a 3-day reminder has already passed the send time, so no reminder goes out.
- The guest signed up with a valid email or phone number. Look at their entry under Results.
- Ask them to check spam or junk. Reminders come from support@withlome.com.
If all four check out and the reminder still did not arrive, email support@withlome.com with the event link and the guest's email address. We can see whether the reminder was queued and sent.
