0:00 A Lome Community is a page where you can build a shared calendar or board of signups, events, discussions, and announcements. You can invite members, it can either be public or behind an invite wall, and you can set up a custom link that is easy for everyone to access and remember. 0:22 It is meant to be an easy-to-engage-with place. It's for your entire community, so they don't have to go searching through emails or websites looking for those random signup forms you've placed everywhere. 0:33 Alone Communities are used by everything from teams to PTAs, single classrooms, entire schools, clubs, small groups. 0:48 a youth group, a church, and other community organizations. They can be used for a single purpose, like organizing volunteers, or they can be used for multiple purposes to capture all the events, fundraisers, needs that are existing within a particular community. 1:08 Anyone can create a community on Loam, but we do have premium features. I'm going to show you an overview of what a community contains. 1:17 So this is the home page of a community. It's actually customizable. You can reorder, uh, and edit it. You can even change the names of the sections. 1:27 But for now, the default is at the top. You have announcements, like maybe this is the online training video. You can also have discussions, where your different members of your community can come and participate in the discussion. 1:44 And then, below, we have three different ways that we're organizing sign-up events and calendar items. You can have featured items, or featured forms, and you can note here the carpool line is featured. 2:00 You can see a schedule, that looks more like an agenda, or just a list of things that are happening. Or, you can view it on a calendar. 2:13 As I said, all of these things can be edited. So, let's say we wanted to feature a different, uh, an additional sign-up form. 2:21 We click edit, we look for forever. The things that are not pinned, assembly speakers, yes, I would like to, I would like to pin that. 2:32 So, we come over and we're given a number of options over here. We click pin, click done. And now you can see we have an additional item here. 2:42 You can add existing events that you have elsewhere in Loam. You can paste a link. So, if you have a newsletter that lists a number of events, or if you have a PDF that has your calendar on it, you can copy and paste those, and we will use AI to parse it and import it. 3:00 You can just share an announcement, like that online video, uh, training video I shared, or you can create a sign-up sheet or an RSVP form. 3:10 You can share your community. so you can share it out via a link, you can use email or text message, share it with your address book, you can invite co-hosts, which will be covered in a separate video. 3:23 The other thing that you have the option of doing is managing your members. So let's say that you have a member that you want to promote to being a co-host. 3:36 So here. I could either remove Bruce or I could promote him to being a co-host. Finally, communities come with a number of different settings. 3:49 You can edit the design and description. So you could change the cover theme. You could say it is school. Or you could change it, the title, Elementary School Volunteers. 4:07 You can save all that. And now you can see up here, we have different information. Or, there are advanced settings. 4:15 And with this, we could change announcements to be news. We could hide the discussion. We could change feature to be news. 4:25 Pinned, and maybe we wanna, we're okay with just having a schedule. And we can hide calendar. If we come out, you'll notice, look, it says news at the top. 4:36 Pinned, and schedule. There's no longer a calendar or discussion. And then, on our higher tiers, we have a number of interesting features, including co-host templates. 4:49 Templates, and, uh, limiting the number of, you know, the access of things, or removing the loan branding. You can hide the activity. 5:00 But then, we also have, we use AI to automatically suggest a magic announcement. And so this will come in, and it means that every single time your members come in and axe. 5:13 And that's it. Your, uh, community, they will see a call to action and you'll see, I didn't write this. We use AI to call out. 5:22 We need, uh, help volunteering as a crosswalk or curb attendant. Your help is crucial. And if I click sign up now, it takes me into carpool line volunteers. 5:32 So a community, again, is a single place where people can come to access and learn. It's all the things, the opportunities, the needs, and the schedule of your community. 5:42 It should increase engagement, but make things easier to remember and find for everyone in your community.
