What Is a Lome Community?
A community is one page that holds everything your group is doing — sign-ups, events, announcements and discussions — behind a single link worth remembering.
Without one, each sign-up you create is its own page with its own link, and people have to hunt through old emails to find the right one. A community is the answer to "where do I find that thing you sent in September".
Schools, PTAs, teams, churches, clubs and single classrooms use them. Anyone can create one; some features below are on paid plans.
What is on the page

You can rename any of these, reorder them, or hide the ones you do not want. "Announcements" can become "News", the discussion can be switched off entirely.
Adding things to it
From the community page you can:
- Create a sign-up or RSVP form directly in it.
- Add an event you already made elsewhere in Lome.
- Paste a link, a newsletter or a PDF calendar — Lome reads it and pulls the dates out for you.
- Pin anything so it sits at the top. Click Edit, choose the item, and select Pin.
Sharing it and managing members
Share gives you a link, email and text options, your address book, and a QR code. You can also set a custom short link so it is easy to say out loud.
Under Members you can promote someone to co-host or remove them. A community co-host can manage everything inside that community — see Add A Cohost To Your Community.
A community can be public or behind an invite wall, so you choose whether people need an invitation to see it.
Settings
Design and description changes the cover theme, title and wording.
Advanced settings is where you rename or hide sections.
On higher tiers you also get co-host templates, access limits, hiding Lome branding, hiding the activity feed, and an AI-written call to action that highlights whatever still needs volunteers.
Is it worth setting one up?
If you run more than one sign-up a term for the same group of people, yes — it is the difference between sending a link every time and sending one link once. For a single one-off event, a plain sign-up form is enough.
